They day went by not too bad as I was busy catching up on my emails and things that might have got missed while I was away. I broke up the day with my usual lunch time workout, which I was dreading since I did nothing while on Vacation. I’m still working through a program that Jonny gave me while he was passing through our office gym a few months ago. Actually made it through mostly unscathed, and was sort of disappointed with only getting to 160 on the bench. I guess that’s to be expected from not doing anything for 2 weeks.
- Bench – work to 5 rep max – 160 lbs (previous best was 165, was nervous with no spot)
- Dips – 5 sets x 10 reps
- Dumbell Chest Fly – 4 sets x 12 reps @ 35lbs
- Tricep Pushdowns – 5 sets x 20 reps @ 45lbs
- Pushups – 4 sets to failure – (14, 10, 8, 8)
Today also marked the day that I had to go back to more of a strict Paleo way of eating. I ate and drank my fair share of grains while in Hawaii so its time to get back on track.
Speaking of drinking grains, we found an awesome Micro Brew from Kona Brewing Company while we were in Maui, The Big Wave Golden Ale! Very Hawaii as it has a sweet finish off Pineapple and Apricots. It’s sort of like Apricat but way better. Check it out if you are ever in the Islands.
